I'm having a garage sale, here are my items, what YOU pay for each. Also, to let you know all of my items are in EXCELLENT condition, only minor wear, no stains etc.

Baby Bottles--Soothie & Gerber

Infafeeders

Wine Glasses (glass or lead crystal)

Bottle Warmer

Container to hold nipples and rings in the dishwasher

Cookie Jars

Kids' Clothes

Maternity Clothes--name brand

High Chair

Bassinet

Little Tikes Toy Chest

Little Tikes outdoor slide

Fisher Price Qquarium Swing

Play Pen

Dining Table (no chairs though)

Paperback books

Canning Jars (boxed in boxes of 12)

Twin Stroller

Travel System (stroller, carseat/carrier, and base)

Full box of bottle liners

Johnny jump up

I have A LOT of other stuff too, but I just need some input on things that I either have a lot of or that are big items.

I have thought about placing an ad on Craig's list, but I don't want to mess with ebay, I normally end up on the losing end of that.

  1. Don't sell the bottles!!!!!!!!!!!! Yuck! It will just make you look bad.

  2. I'm sure a lot of people would, as long as everything is in good condition.

  3. I have had a TON of garage sales - and shopped even more: Some stuff you are lucky to just get rid of! I usually have a 3-4 day sale - start prices high, and start dropping if a few people ask and walk away. The last day of the garage sale drop your prices LOW to get rid of the stuff - otherwise you have to box it up and drag it to Goodwill --- If you don't want to sell too cheap Keep the few good items and sell on Craigs List

Also - the big baby stuff will sell better on craigs list, I'm having a baby in 5 weeks and have bought SO much of her stuff on there - The prices are awesome compared to new, and I don't have to go garage saling with my two pre-schoolers and my 8 month belly!! - sold a lot of stuff too, MUCH easier then Ebay (I was a professional seller on Ebay for 8 years, and I won't touch it anymore!!)

    Baby Bottles--Soothie & Gerber -- at most $1 each - more like 50-25 cents

Wine Glasses (glass or lead crystal) - sets of 4 or more $1-2 each (4 glasses $6) , 50 cents or $1 for singles

    Bottle Warmer - $3 ?

Container to hold nipples and rings in the dishwasher - 50 cents

Cookie Jars - depends - sets go for more

Kids' Clothes 25 cents to $2 at most

Maternity Clothes--name brand -- hard to sell clothes - $1 each at most

High Chair - depends on age - $10 - $40 if its almost new (name brand)

Bassinet - I just bought 2 for $30 and $20 on craigs list

Little Tikes Toy Chest - I paid $5 for a LT dinosaur toy box that sat outside - so up to $10-$20??

Little Tikes outdoor slide - I got $20 for a nasty LT kitchen....

Fisher Price Qquarium Swing  - I paid $50 for the aquarium swing 3 years ago - just got the newer version used for $50 -- saw on CL for as low as $30

Play Pen - $20- $50 depends on condition/age -- look on Craigs list to see what other people are asking - then ask $10 or so less

Dining Table (no chairs though) - 10-30 depending on condition

Paperback books - 25 cents -- or just give away!!

Canning Jars (boxed in boxes of 12) -- $5 at most per box, I have NO IDEA what these sell for at stores - tell people to make offer for all

Twin Stroller - Mine did not sell at garage sale - but seen people asking $50 for the front/back type -- Craigs list item

Travel System (stroller, carseat/carrier, and base) - lady asking $100 or so teh other day, but it had the swing too. I paid $15 for the carrier & base last week. Maybe $50, sell on CL

Full box of bottle liners - whatever they give you! $2 ??

Johnny jump up - hubby paid $15 for mine at an auction (used - doorway type) I believe I sold it for $5 at my garage sale

  4. I sold a bike trailer on craig's list and I got a lot more than I would have at a garage sale. You should sell it as a lot together. At my mom's garage sale, I sold 2 swings and a stroller for $40. Good luck

  5. personally i would not buy bottles that are used.

infafeeder- honestly i do not know what that is LOL!!!!

wine glasses- 50 cents to 1 dollar

    bottle warmer- 1 dollar

    nipple holder- 50 cents

cookie jar- 1 to 2 dollars

kids clothes- 25 cents each or 1 dollar for outfits

maternity clothes- 1 to 2 dollars each

    high chair- 10 dollars

    bassinett- 10 dollars

    toy chest- 5 dollars

    outdoor slide- 5 dollars

    swing- 10 dollars

playpen- 5 to 10 dollars (depending on if it has the changing table on it)

    table- 10 dollars

    books- 50 cents each

jars- 3 dollars for box of 12

    stroller- 10 dollars

    travel system- 30 dollars

    bottle liners- 1.50

    jump up- 5 dollars

mind you it also depends on your area that you live in. i live in N. Texas and the folks here look for good deals.... they will not buy things if it normally is above 10 dollars unless it is a large set for something major (like the travel system).... but even though these might seem low on cost, remember that these are used....

  6. too many items to list prices

  7. Baby Bottles-- nothing, I don't buy used bottles

Infafeeders - don't know what this is

Wine Glasses - 25 cents each

Bottle Warmer - $1 at most, but I have no use for this

Container to hold nipples and rings in the dishwasher - 75 cents, maybe a dollar

Cookie Jars - depends on the theme... $1-$10

Kids' Clothes - nice clothes $2 for an outfit... ok outfit $1, play clothes.. I wouldn't buy but 25 cents is good... if the clothes are over size 24 months you really shouldn't charge much for  them if they aren't dress clothes or name brand... I dunno, older kid clothes just isn't as nice...

    Maternity Clothes--name brand - $1-2

High Chair - depends on the quality... some of the older ones I wouldn't pay over $5 for, but a really nice one I could see spending $25 on

Bassinet - I see no purpose in there, so I wouldn't buy one... but i'd say $8-10 is fair

Little Tikes Toy Chest - $8

Little Tikes outdoor slide - $10

Fisher Price Qquarium Swing - $10

    Play Pen - $15

Dining Table (no chairs though) - $10

    Paperback books - 50 cents

Canning Jars (boxed in boxes of 12) - $1.50 for all

Twin Stroller - $30 depending on brand

Travel System (stroller, carseat/carrier, and base) - used car seats aren't great so I would base my price on the stroller... so maybe $20.

Full box of bottle liners $1

    Johnny jump up - $5
