  3. Fix that dent in the front. It'll hurt your resale value but make sure you'll lose less by leaving it than by fixing it yourself. Keep in mind that your buyer might try to leverage that damage against the price of the car.

    In 'fair' condition (due to the big dent) your car is worth $2225 in a private party sale. If you fixed the dent, it would be worth $2700. Do NOT trade your car in, you'll get pennies compared to what it's worth. According to Kelley Blue Book, a dealer would offer you about $930 for it with the dent.
