What would you pick? A $1800 german trip, or put $800 into a car and spend most of the rest on a computer?

i want to spend money on my car (1997 Chevy Cavalier), it needs a tune up and stuff. I also could use a new computer. However, i also would like to go on a school trip to Germany, all expenses paid for for $1800. That includes everything, but extra spending cash. That money is due around March. Which would you choose?

i would take the trip its not everyday you get to leave the country on a trip like that and even if you decide to go later in your life gas prices will rise further making it more expensive than it is now to travel. if it was up to me id take the trip ;) with your friends going too i suspect since its a school trip i bet it would be a blast.

i think id rather spend it on my car and the computer,i don't like to fly anyway so i know i wouldn't get on an air plane,but if i was young again i would like to see Germany,so maybe id take the trip,good luck ,that's a hard decision to make.

I would choose Germany. It's an amazing country, and travel is such an important and (often) life-changing activity. You'll learn a lot about yourself and the world.

That said, I would make sure to work hard to save money over the next few months. That way you can take care of the car as well. Another option would be to make friends with an auto mechanic who might be willing to give you a reduction in price.

Pick the trip, your only young once and you'll regret not going later on when you get older and have too many responsibilities holding you down and back from traveling.
