What would you rate the iPhone 3G?

Question

For those that have the iPhone 3G what would you rate it, from a scale of 1-10? 1 being not worth it to 10 being totally worth [buying it].

Please, be as honest as you can be, because I am looking into buying one and I am trying to get as many opinions as possible, if its worth buying it.

Is the internet good?

What do you like about the iPhone and what don't you like about it?

It is the best smartphone out there.  The 3G speeds are almost as fast as the Wi-Fi, but the reception is terrible.  EDGE is much more dependable.  But the internet is great, albeit without flash, which is acceptable with the App store and the YouTube application.  The iPod is phenominal, though the song title and artist are a little small which takes some getting used to.  The battery power is great when the Wi-Fi is off and the 3G is off, but when both are on and the brightness is full the battery is disappointing (lasts about 2 hours).  

So my advice would be to get one.  There is nothing comparable to it.  It has a great price if you are eligible for the upgrade, it has a great iPod, the amazing App store, fast internet, and the visual voicemail is pretty handy.

I would rate it as 5 in terms of good looks and 0 in other terms.....

These days I-Phone is a common style phone for teenagers but they mostly don't know there demerits / disadvantages, they are as follows:-

1.I-Phone 3G is the simplest to hack, it can get hacked very easily.

2.I-Phone 3G has a low volume speaker and hence you will not be able to listen to the one you are talking properly. It feels as if somebody is whispering.

3.I-Phone 3G gets hanged many times.

4.I-Phone 3G is scientifically injurious to the cells present in your finger.

I hate it, hate it and hate it. I would suggest you not to buy it first go and investigate it yourself because later on you might regret it.

well, my friend is a computer programmer and he just bought one and LOVES it! we wanted to eat some korean bbq so we went to the next city not knowing which way to go or where this place was, but the iphone was an excellent navigator. i'd say 8.5 or higher

according to me, the iPhone 3G isn't worth all this hype. Through the iPhone 3G, apple claims to have offered the market a phone with twice the speed and better capabilities but the fact is that the 3G data speeds are comparable to the original EDGE speeds and the highly publicized introduction of the GPS feature does not offer the capabilities of a typical GPS device.  But at half the price these shortcomings can be forgiven. but i definitely don't think that the phone is worth all this hype
