  1. I have a beautiful environment and poor personal safety - don't know anything else.  I will probably trade it for a safe and secure life if I could.

  2. Hehe!! I agree with Lise!

You have to live your own life but if you have a family then yes safety is at the top of my list. However, I don't therefore I have to do what makes me happy. There is no point moving half way across the world and being miserable! It's like dying slowly! Just get rid of the government (ANC) and the safety will come.

  3. Safety is of the utmost importance to me and to most adults who have children and families to fend for.

What will happen of my son should myself or my wife be murdered and what are the chances of this happening, how will my wife be going forward psychologically if raped and assaulted and what are the chances of this happening, what are the chances gunmen could storm my sons school as happens frequently in South Africa or that we could be hijacked while driving to the grocery store with our child fastened in the back seat, these are all important questions which I frequently ask myself and the wrong answer is provided time and time again when asking such questions in the current South African environment.

Beauty can never be fully enjoyed or appreciated when you are forced into living your life in fear.

  4. Wow!  can't I have both?  I lived in a really bad neighborhood for years and crack heads broke in a couple of times and trashed my house.  The ambiance was far from elegant, but the graffiti was large and prolific.

I now live in a nice neighborhood and have a safe and secure life.  So I'll keep it that way, if you don't mind.

  5. Ag no man Hennie this is a difficult question, are you becoming like Zim$ now with all his trickey questions? Well I would rather live in the Kruger Park amongst the lions and take my chances than in Witbank with all the pollution and acid rain.

  6. Well I obviously have made that choice already. Safety! I do miss the beauty but it would be very difficult to enjoy it six feet under.

Got the scars to prove it and did not stick around to buy the t-shirt!

  7. Definitely rather an ugly environment with a safe and secure life ... not gonna matter if your surroundings are beautiful if you're dead.

  8. I will take ugly and safe.  You can make it beautiful by painting the outside or inside of your house. Putting out a few pot plants and finding beauty within the ugly. You can see beauty in anything but you find safety everywhere.

  9. It does not matter which one but as long as I am with people that I care for and that care about me.

That is what life is all about sharing it with others.

You can't live your life saying me me me me.

  10. beautiful environment, poor saftey.. **** all else, survival of the fittest.
