What would you rather have?A cat or dog?

Well it really depends on what kind of person you are and what you can provide. If you have unkind neighboors, the best choice would probably be a cat because the cat can't bark. If you are very entergetic and have a big backyard then you should probably pick a dog. (Both are wonderful companions!)

I am slightly more partial to dogs.  I currently have 2 dogs and 4 cats so probably I'd want another dog!  I'd like a Border Collie since I'm active in agility and they excel at it.  I do agility with one of my 2 Shelties right now and she's very good and she loves it!

Cats are easier, less maintenance...they don't need to be walked and can use  a litter box.  You can also leave your kitty alone for a few days and she/he will be fine where as you can't do it that with a dog.   They are fine to live in apts and are quieter too.   Can you tell I have a cat?  ( I love dogs too!)

though i would happily take both, my dad is giving my cat to my mom (they are divorced) so that i can have a pet when i visit her, if my dad would allow it i wish we could adopt a cat from the aspca to live at out dads house abd we already have a dog :)
