  1. foot ball ,soccer ball, ladder ba;ll, marshmellow, water guns, anything they enjoy

  2. Whistles worn as a necklace.

  3. -Some areas have biketrails, and if they do bring bikes so the kids can explore the outdoors.

    -Something like a frisbee or some type of ball would be good.

    -Maybe you can make up a nature scavenger hunt for them - try the link below.

    -Maybe some type of nature book to identify the different trees, flowers or birds they find. Just a few things to keep them busy and having fun.

  4. Bring everything you would need at home.

    * First Aid Kit

    * Food, water, snacks ... (roasting marshmellows, weiners, etc is fun)

    * Plenty of clothes

    * Sleeping stuff ... (pillows, blankets, sheets, etc)

    * Communication devices (cell phone, etc)

    * Games

    * You will need things like matches, insect repellent, eating & cooking utensils ..

    * Ways to cook your food -- basic cook things just like at home (utensils, cooking oil, bread, cookies, mayo, mustard, etc)

    *  Flashlights, batteries, extra batteries, lights

    Basicly - you need everything camping - that you would at home.  Make yourself a long list -- it will be so helpful to you.

  5. well, of course you'd need the essentials;

    flashlight, extra set of batteries, food, sleeping bags, heaters, water purifier, matches, pocket knife, lighter, utensils, clothing, etc. xD

    if you mean for entertainment, i suggest to bring along their play toys, and a portable DVD player if you have one. (:

    just bring along anything that you think will keep them busy and not running around, bothering everybody and being bored. [x

    hope i helped. <3

  6. Cameras - record and take pictures

    Sun screen - prevent skin cancer and sun burns

    first aid kid - in case of minor injuries

    food & water

    ice cooler (it will last a long time)

    extra clothes and blankets

    swim suits just in case there is a lake

  7. A day, a week or a month?  Walk in 10 miles or park 20 ft from the BBQ and tent?  is it summer where you are?  Temperatures mid 80's or mid 100's or mid 40's?  desert, rain forest, grasslands or mangrove swamp?  Come ON!

    Critical stuff for every where

    1.  Everybody gets a whistle (assuming they don't have personal locators).  Make sure it is one the little ones can easily blow if they get lost or separated.

    2.  Name tag with your cell phone # (or if out of cell range give 'em some friend/relative to call in case of emergency.

    3.  Bug Repellant (Deet for clothes , lemon euclyptus for skin)  I'm assuming  bugs will be where you're camping.

    4.  Hats

    5.  Belts with water bottle or canteen attached. (maybe home made?)

    6.  Tent and blankets or sleeping bags (sleeping pad is good for you, little ones often travel too much at night for them to be of much use IMHO.)

    7.  Lantern & fuel (and extra mantles if not long lasting/solar.)

    8.  Short story book.  Something fun - ask a librarian

    9.  Paper and crayons

    10.  cool aid or other sweet drink mix

    11.  Bug, tree, flower, stars, or bird book - to identify wild things with.

    12.  Music player (radio) if good batteries - for dancing o'course

    13.  Matches for campfire (if allowed)

    14.  If by water, life jackets for swimming. (let 'em get wet!)

    15  Snacks

    16  Cards for rainy weather.

    17,  Marshmellows (& s'mores fixins)

    Food, mostly dried.  Snacks & trail mix.  lots of paper towels (if you can pack them - otherwise rags).

    I'd recommend no more than two nights for first time.  And not to walk-in more than a quarter mile (if at all).

    soap - I'd use dishwashing soap for everything.  They sell low foaming which is good for environment

    plastic bags to bag waste, left-overs and opened food.  TP.

    First AId - band aids, antibiotic ointment, itch cream, sun screen, sun burn lotion, tweezers, nail clippers.  a small line for drying clothes.

    If you're in bear country it is a little more complicated...

  8. sleeping pads for under sleeping bags

    sleeping bags rated to the correct temperature and the right size

    clothes for daytime (bring at least one pair beyond what you think you will need, so if they get really dirty or really cold you have them)

    hooded sweatshirts (for sleeping or if it gets cold)

    pajamas

    outdoor toys (kites, jumpropes, shovels, etc.)

    tent--you will want one a little bigger than to fit you, so you can fit your stuff

    bug spray

    sunscreen

    snack food (fruit snacks, pop tarts, fruit, etc)

    quick food for each meal

    s'more stuff

    an extra pair of shoes for each person (in case of blisters)

    hats for each person

    good luck!

  9. At a camping event a group of us did, we gave the kids waterbased nontoxic paint to paint some rocks to look like animals.

    they ended up painting eachother too, but were able to jump in the creek to wash it off.

    Another activity they did was taking some old cotton sheets, and tore them into 4 inch strips, and had them color them with markers, with the assignment that they had to show what they loved about camping, and hung them around the camp site for decoration (of course they took them home as to leave the site as clean as it was when we got there.)

    making smores and other treats around the camp fire is fun, and getting them to gather sticks to start the fire, we made it into a contest of who gathered the most in an hour would get a treat.

    at night time we sang and danced around the fire - letting the kids lead their favorite songs and taking turns on who started the next song.

    all joining hands and circle the fire in a dance together doing things like the hokey pokey

    We also had a trash hunt, each kid being given a trash bag, and see who could get the most trash out the park, and who found the heaviest item, who found the weirdest item, who found the most cans, and different things like that, making the area nicer than what we had found it.

    Taking some hard boiled eggs, coloring them, then hiding them (no plastic in case some cant be found) then sending the kids out to go find them.

    Dont forget the sun screen, and bug bite stuff and emergancy kit, and plenty of clothes for the weather

    also check with the location to see if they have any activities they can suggest for the area, such as a hike to a waterfal or what ever is around there to check out, dont forget to bring water.

    hope you have a great experience
