What would you say is a bad habit to get into with your cat/dog?

Just wondered what bad habbits you have with your cat/dog. Or, any habbits which you try to avoid.

Never diciplining them.

So many pet owners allow thier cats/ dogs to do what ever they want with no ristraint... (geee they do that with kids too!)

A momma cat trains the kittens . she slaps them bites them etc to make them do / not do something.

Allowing the dog or cat to be the Alfa in the home is bad.

Dogs should never be allowed to go through the open door first... (that means they are ALFA DOG)  A HUMAN should always be the Alfa!

I let the dog sleep on the bed.  Very bad habit to get into because the dog thinks she rules the bed and can sleep where ever she wants and YOU should move to accommodate her.  For nearly 10 years, either me or my hubby wakes up with a stiff neck because she likes to sleep on the pillows over our heads.

NOT sticking his nose in it when he goes on the rug.  You will never solve that problem if you DON'T make it a bad experience for him also.

My kitty loves to play "hand under the blanket." LOL That's what my boyfriend calls it. He quickly moves his hand back and forth under the blanket and she lunges at it at grabs with her teeth. Not a good game to encourage for kitties! I don't let the BF play that game anymore as every time I snuggled up in the blanket kitty would have her eyes peeled for any movement ready to attack!  :-)

Do not let your kitties on the counters and tables or all of your meals will have fur in them.
