  1. My friend's mother has dived in Malta many, many times and she says it's fantastic. A lot cheaper than travelling to the Great Barrier Reef, which is Heaven for divers apparently.

  2. great barrier reef

  3. For wrecks (if you can afford it!) you couldn't do much better than Bikini Atoll or Chuuk Lagoon.  Or if you don't mind the cold the Baltic Sea or American Great Lakes.

Big fish - take your pick - depends what you want to see and what time of year you want to see it!

Personally I'm always happy to get back to the southwest coast of the UK, there's plenty to keep a rust bunny happy.  Heaps of wrecks of all ages and in all depths and fish don't come much bigger than baskers! ;-)

  4. Newbold Quarry - No points please. I am an expert.

  5. I've heard Norway is very good. But cold, I would imagine.

  6. yep great barrier reef

  7. El Nido Beach, Philippines

  8. I would offer four areas:

    a) Micronesia.  You could do Truk/Chuuk (great WW II wrecks from operation hail stone) as probably the best wreck area in the world.  Sharks and other stuff in Palau.  And end on Yap doing Manta Rays (and stone money on the land).

    b) Cocos Island (off Costa Rica) during hammerhead schooling.  No wrecks but...)

    c)  Galapagos.  Again, no wrecks but...

    d)  Bikini would also be worth checking out as a wreck site.  Not nearly as radioactive as it was...

  9. Apparently Yongala, a shipwreck off Queensland, Australia.
