  1. new york area..... LA.... san fran.. texas

  2. i'd go with minnesota, because the weather is nice in the summer and fall, and there's a lot of lakes and parks and things to do outside

  3. The East Coast states if you're looking for the European flair, then Massachusetts i.e. Boston of course. Also New York and its area for being the most cosmopolitan.

But it really depends on what you want to see&experience.

  4. Jojo it all depends on what your looking for.

what kind of people and things you want to experience

i spent 6 months traveling the US and my fav places were New Orleans Louisiana and San Francisco but i found some thing great about all the states i went to

check out the source below for more information

but my advice go there and just enjoy its so big and so different

    hope this sort of helped

    enjoy

  5. You should go to Texas so that you can try something you did not try in Europe.

  6. I'd say if you have to pick one state pick California.  You'll have San Francisco, San Diego, the Pacific Coast highway for your rent-a-car, forests, mountains, deserts, and great diversity of people.

Or if you're really a city lover just do New York City, then if you have time you could also rent a car and either drive up the coast and check out Massachusetts to Maine or head to the upstate New York mountains and check out Vermont.  This would seem more like Europe visually at least. Don't rent the car until you're finished with NYC and  ready for the road trip.

You could do NYC and Boston or NYC and Philadelphia and even Wash. DC without renting a car.  Trains are good (not fantastic like Euro trains, but o.k.)

Another option is New Mexico, rent a car and check out Santa Fe, Indian dwellings, Sedona, (Arizona), Grand Canyon, and some national parks in Utah and the 4 state area (Those 3 + Colorado). Maybe the cheapest places to fly into would be Phoenix or Las Vegas or Los Angeles.  You can also check Santa Fe, Albuquerque or Denver as points of entry. Just pick the cheapest and rent a car.

  7. Can you not decide for your self what you want to see, or do you know nothing about the USA.

  8. Idaho

  9. I have had many European friends that did visit the states. Hawaii was a big one for them as well as Calif.

We knew two couples from Hungary that flew to San Francisco and rented two cars and just drove all over the USA.

They were a bit wealthy and had a month or more to spend in the states. They visited us in S.Cal. and we took them to Las Vegas were one guy made even more money on the craps tables.

many people do enjoy Florida, even if that's not on your list.

  10. California is great, LA and San Francisco stand out.
