What would you say is wrong with the royal family?

i have to do something for homework and i have to write something in the veiw of someone who was critical of the royal family but i am not sure, what don't you like about them?

They are a disgrace in a country that is supposed to be a democracy. Britain is one of the few nations in the world where the people cannot choose their head of state yet british soldiers are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan so that those people can have that right

whats right with them?

millions of pounds of tax payers' money keeps them in palaces, corgis and tweed jackets.

the monarchy has ceased to have a purpose, as the head of the state. the prime minister and government now assumes that role, regardless of what history tells you. The only benefits I can find, are that they keep tourists coming in droves which brings money in, and that there are still people out there who are royalists through and through who would be devastated to lose the royals.

edit: spot on sagajaga. 'our' princes' dont have a brain cell between them. i mean, can you imagine these people forming a plan, single handedly, to protect this country from a stampede of wild spanyards! I dont think so. Keep putting yourselves on mugs and novelty tea towels, at least thats something useful for the british public!

that their fat lazy b******s who live off the taypayers money and can actually choose their salary which is unbelieveble considering they do absolutely nothing. At least in the olden days the King would ride into battle with his men but now prince ginger goes to afghanistan for a month and pisses his pants and comes home and actually GETS A MEDAL for it.

Of course I dont hate the royal family, but if i did that is what i would say

I dont think that its that bad that the immideiate line of sucession (Queen-Charles-Will) get tax payers money but its the 40 odd other people that get our money that I dont agree with.
