I work part-time from home and am home proud. I have no kids and am in my early fourties. My mother is always out and pushes herself to visit friends and family, help out at the church, donate her time to charity etc. In fact when I was a child and young woman she was always everywhere else but with her own family. She knew more about other people than me. She has also always felt uncomfortable that I chose not to have children and have not married. Anyway, I was explaining the renovations I was going to do to my house when she turned around and said in a nasty way "oh your always doing something that wastes time, why don't you go out and get a job". What would you say/think?

  1. i would say:

its none of your business really, i'm 40 and its my life isnt it?

look at you, what were you doing know /or the rest of your life, how 'motivational' it is /or. lucky im not like you.

yes, it hurt, but she wont learn till it hurt

  2. learn to live without her, tell her to get ****** and refuse to speak to her for as long as it takes... i dont care if its family or whoever, no one has the right to dish out mental abuse... its her problem not yours, you are different from her, be grateful for that... dump her
