  1. I am an RN, I would try rad tech. I think it is much less demanding and stressful.

  2. I'm just guessing that there are more jobs for lpn but what one should really also consider is which job that they would be happy performing for eight(+) hours a day, five days a week for years to come :)

For general career info:  http://www.bls.gov/oco and search 'licensed practical nurses', 'radiologic technologists' or such.

If deciding on a vo-tech career, please forgo those private $$ schools and opt for the county vo-tech school or community college as long as the program is accredited within the industry.

  3. Both careers are respectable and fulfilling. Rad Techs generally make more money than LPNs ($40,000+) and the national average for experienced Rad Techs is about $58,0000. LPNs can make between $25,000-$32,000 anually. Both careers provide oppurtunities to advance further into the field and both are critical posistions in the healthcare industry. As far as availibility goes, I wouldn't know. I'm just starting Rad School in the fall and my schedule is pretty demanding, but I think it all comes down to preference and what you like to do. Hope this helped and Good Luck!!!
