if your friend still hasn't called back. They have a history of not responding and when asked say they lost their cell phone, didn't get the messge and need your # again, & nothing's wrong. Yesterday, night you finally called them. They invited you to their going away party and offered to pick you up when they pick up someone else. And after 4 min of talking, they told you they were eating dinner and would call you back that night then said that night or the morning. It's been a night and a day and nothing.

  1. Forget 'em, move on.

  2. be polite if you're interacting with them, but i really think you need to un-invest yourself in this relationship and move on.

No hard feelings, just 'well, i want to be their friend, but they aren't being a friend to me, so i'll move them to the outer circle of people i know, and worry about me.'

  3. This is no friend, they don't want to be bothered with you.

It shouldn't take all of that for you to realize that your time is far to precious to waste on someone as uncaring as that.

You have long patience.  Don't let people walk all over you.

    cut that "friend" lose.

  4. If this is type of behavior is rare, then let it go.  However, if this "friend" chooses to treat you with such disregard on a regular basis, my advice would be to distance yourself from him/her.  Surround yourself with people who enrich your life; not suck the life out of it!
