What would you think if Russia started funding the Alaska Independence Party?

How would you respond if Russia sponsored the AIP to breakaway from US.

To create a free and independant Alaska. Able to drill their oil - and sell it to Russia.

And started selling them weapons, tanks, planes.

Training their military.

Maybe installing some Russian missiles .

Russia would never get caught doing so.  There is little evidence to link them to the poisoning during the Ukrainian elections for example and there is no definite proof that Russia was behind the murder of an ex-KGB agent.

But, I would not put it past them!

Russia sold Alaska to the USA. It does not want it back.

I would think there would be a war within 28 days!Tell me!Hadn't Alaska used to belong to the Russians about 1830? I wouldn't think they want it back!

I think that it would probably lead to this party being easy to discredit and the independence movement curtailed. Unless these people are particularly fond of Russia.

This is totally analagous to what the US has been doing in Georgia, but it goes further - their support, direct and indirect,  for collaborationist parties and politicians worldwide - including Britain - is notorious.

NATO, especially in post-Soviet years, is actually built on the politics of corruption and collaboration.

We in Europe should redress the balance by taking our own independent stance in dealing with both Russia and the US.

Don't know about that but i like Alaskans i think we in Britain should at least send them some money.Yes Russian missiles could be good Americans couldn't say no as that would be hypocritical.
