  1. perhaps that person has done some thing wrong?

  2. Don't be too disttressed. Toddlers don't really have best friends, they tednd to come and go. They also fall out with friends easily due to communication issues. It's sad when this happens, but I wouldn't be too worried as its common and completely normal!

  3. Maybe they don't get their own way so much with this person. As soon as anyone tells my 2 and a half year old off she says "I want my Nanny" becasuse Nanny lets her do whatever she wants!!! They are clever little angels. My daughter also says, I don't like daddy, mummy, nanny etc.... and I think she is just looking for a reaction and it's just a phase. We simply explain that it's not nice to say that and you may upset people.

  4. Children tend to go through a 'phase' of liking/disliking people, the common signs are fear of strangers - e.g. hiding eyes when someone talks to them, hiding behing mums leg, it happens at different ages and stages of development, its just normal human instinct.

  5. That something had occurred to make them dislike them. Perhaps the person told them off for something.

I think you have asked this question becuase you are concerned. You probably could do with asking the toddler in a calm relaxed way, why they seem to not like this person anymore.

If the toddler is of an age where they cannot speak yet, perhaps it is best to be more mindful of the amount of time they spend alone with this person.

There could be a simple answer - they were just told off by this person and now they are not sure.

  6. id think that person had done something to upset your child and i would try and find out what has happened

  7. toddlers and children can be friends with someone one minute and enemies the next.

my son was best friends with someone last week and now they don't like each other and he's only 5!

I had the same situation, one minute he loved this person to death and then would cry if i mentioned we were going round there!  it is upsetting and makes you think all kinds of things, and when their too young to tell you, its even harder.  May i just add that this person is now liked again very much!!

Maybe if you don't go round there or see this person for a while it might help? kids get bored easily and this may be a factor?

has this person ever told your Little one off or had to get cross with him/her?

if you feel something has gone on then don't see this person, or ask them outright, without offending!

Use your instincts, hope this helps!

  8. I'd think it was a phase. My daughter used to love her uncle, and he worked a lot for about 3 weeks and didn't get to come visit, and when he did she flipped out, started wailing and wanted nothing to do with him. Next time he came over she was fine with him again. Lol. Good luck!

  9. Maybe something has happened that made them dislike them. Have they been told off by that person by any chance or something?
