What would you think my sub-concious it saying with this one? ?

Question

had two vivid and extreme dreams last night...

The first was me in the backseat of my moms vehicle, where a strange man (not my step-father) was in the passenger seat.

My mom had picked me up, and I wasn't wearing a seat-belt.

She started to drive very erratic and fast, as though she had been drinking. I kept pleading with her to slow down but she was slumped in her chair and not responsive.

The strange man also kept calling her by her first name, telling her to listen to me...

Finally, as I saw we were nearing the end of the road (looked to be a house at the end of the street) I pleaded and begged for her to stop so I could get out, but she wouldn't listen.

I made the dream end at this point because I didn't want to crash.

After falling back asleep, I dreamed about holding a large baby girl, very, very close, while calmly treading in the water. I protected the baby from people trying to splash her, and felt a sense of affection and deep love for the baby as though it was my own.

Any idea what these dreams mean?

Basically this dream bespeaks of your mother unresponsiveness to you.  You feel she's neglecting you, ignoring you while she herself is in a dither.  The holding of the baby is a good dream portending some blessing or success coming your way.

being in the backseat = being dependent

strange man = support, invisible help you are looking for

mom driving fast = not caring about your feeling

First dream, you may be feeling the need for dependency.  That comes from your mom.  Not wearing seat belt symbolize the trust you have for your mom.  However, you projected her as driving fast and wouldn't listen and you projected a stranger to talk. That symbolize the need for attention.  You may want more attention from her.  Maybe you are feeling some negligence from her.

large baby girl = needing for car

The baby you projected basically symbolize the care you are looking for. Even though you projected yourself protecting a baby.  That is a symbolic way to say you are seeking for security, protection.

Putting two dreams together, you may be feeling helpless even you have support. You may be seeking for more attention from your mom about things you need in life.   Perhaps, your mom is quick in making her decision and may turn away your request most of the time.  However, you won't want to go against her and after all, you feel her to be the most trust person in the family.  That implied some conflict feeling in you as well.

Your mom may have experienced something bad, and that's why she wouldn't listen. The strange man could be her conscience, telling her to listen to you. The vehicle on the road could have been her, going out of control. Have you noticed anything strange with your mom in real life? She could be deeply troubled about something. Ask her.

If you are old enough, the second dream could be your sub-conscious asking you if you are ready to have and raise a child. The people trying to splash her could be the troubles you would face if you had a child. You protected the baby, and so, you may be ready.

Since the last 2yrs [ it could be more ] you had travel  a really tough road ; and its like you   had   decide to take a break ; before emotionally you will crash ; this explanation is for the first dream ; and your second dream ;; Water talk about emotion but you seem happy and yes the baby girl you were protecting could be your future daughter [ I had a dream about my first son 5 yrs before he was born ] but the fact the baby was very large it could mean it will take a year or 2
