What would you think of..

Question

if there were only like, four or five brides maids and they all had a different color dress?

I'm not engaged, or planning on getting married anytime soon- but when I do eventually get married, I wanted it to be in the fall and for the brides maids to have autum colored dresses. Like, one orange-ish, one purple, ect ect with other fall colors. What would you think of that..? Just curious.

I think that's a cool idea. It makes each one stand out as an individual.

I think it can be lovely if you choose the right shades and tones of the colours. I've seen it done in summer with pastels, but it's totally doable with fall colours. Another option is to use jewel tones - think amethyst, sapphire, ruby, emerald, topaz....

It's a cool idea and actually one of the trendier things to do now.  Except to keep the cohesive.  Like one girl has the same color sash as another girls dress... like that.

When I got married, I went with my sister to choose her yellow, southern belle style dress (what she wanted). Told my other 5 attendants, don't choose her color or style, stay in touch with me and other attendants, beg, borrow or steal whatever (long) dress you want.  The most amazing thing happened...they all ended up color coordinated (2 hues of blue, 2 mauve/purple, 1 pink).

Everyone loved the idea.  Attendants said they had a blast visiting family and friends trying on their dresses and my guests said it was very interesting to see individual colors and styles come down the aisle instead of clones.  My wedding pictures are amazing.

It sounds beautiful to have a fall rainbow of colors.  I'm not sure of the purple with orange, but different color dresses would be lovely.

I love that idea.  I think it's a nice unique twist on it.  I hate when all the bridesmaids look like clones.  Go for it!
