  1. I'm all for it. They are a corrupted body anyway. Look at the oil for food program in Iraq. And Kofi Annan who was in charge was never held accountable. He retired peacefully after talking trash about the US after his son was reaping money and benefits because of his father's powerful UN position. Including fraud! They are a sham! And the bad part about it is we pay most of the budget for the UN and they trash talk us to the world!

  2. The US refused to participate in the league of nations back in the 20's and the result = World war Two. The US claims to be big on democracy but doesn't like democracy on a bigger scale ( the  UN) The US is like a big fat spoilt child it wants every body to do what it says without understanding the issues or even thinking people in other countries may have different views.

  3. I wish we would. That group has too much power and never uses it for anything good.

  4. That would never happen, their would be no UN without the USA, The USA pays 45% of their budget!!

  5. That is impossible.  US is one of superpowers to keei UN intake .

  6. Can we say "isolationism."  President Wilson was for isolationism, and got a lot of flak for it (given, it was during WWI.)

See, if we turn a cold shoulder to the world, the world can easily turn a cold shoulder to us.  The next time we may need international help, it may not be there.

The U.N. provides an open and free dialogue for all the world's countries.  We should and must stay in it.

  7. Only a complete nutter would want to remain with the UN.  This is the same UN that includes the French who threw a fit about the US going into Iraq and the moment Saddam was deposed demanded their piece of the oil rights.  This is the UN that wants us militarily in Darfur.  The UN is a useless body whose time has come and gone.

  8. i would think its about time

im all for a one world view but the problem is the one world view now being perpetrated

is not my view of a one world based on all people being apart of the world not one government telling all what to do

  9. I'm in Favor of quitting the UN, NATO and all other foiegn alliances.

I'm also in favor of stopping all foriegn aid and military aid.

    I'm also against deficit spending.

I'm a Conservative, not to be confused with the Facist Republicans

  10. Answer: I believe in my heart of hearts that, that would be a good thing for America! And without American financially carrying their water, the world will join in a cheer at the collapse of the U.N.

  11. I support it. Why should the US do what other countries think and say it should do. We should do what is most beneficial to us despite what anyone else has to say about it.

  12. I believe the UN is a useless, toothless, worthless, good for nothing organization. I also think it would be a bad idea to pull out simply for politically reasons. When the world finally figures out the Islamic Jihad is against ALL free and christian nations, it could be a good thing to have.

  13. d**n good idea.It is totally corrupt and full of spies.A pure waste of American tax dollars. They don't have the balls to do anything with out American lives and money.A bunch of 3rd. world dictators and  commies trying to rule the world when they can't even better their own countries.

  14. Good idea, because US always use UN to validate his world interventions.

  15. That would be stupid and a BIG mistake.

  16. I think that even though UN is a compromised international institution, USA should stay by it side...only RATS leave the ship before it sinks. The partnership between USA and the other countries that support American policies should not be forsaken at any costs. Why? Because as amg500 put it in the near future maybe US military will need the support of it's allied friends, and none will give a d**n.

  17. I would think US would be making a very radical move.

The UN is a international forum where dialgoe takes place between world leaders.

UN may be bloated in burecracy, and hindered and obstructed by the amount of people participated in it, and the ridiculous veto powers, yet it is still THE only international orginzation that binds almost every nation in a single, fragile, yet single link.

US would be foolish to leave the UN, as it still has considerable influence in it (veto power), and can use the UN to its advatage.

  18. that is a misleading question, the UN is state 52 big boy!!!

  19. We entered the UN only because the Soviets did.  Since we won the cold war, I see no reason to stay in the UN.

  20. Does "rogue nation" have any meaning in your vocabulary?  It would alienate the United States from EVERY member nation and would put at risk the mechanisms of international law which enable much of our trade.  The result would be economic chaos, rampant inflation and the loss of whatever respect we still have in the world.  We would be viewed as no different than North Korea or Iran.  The UN certainly needs some reforms, but the US leaving the UN is about as effective a method of reforming it as not voiting is an effective means to reform the corruption in the US government.

  21. It would be foolish in the extreme.  Like the UK pulling out of the EU, it's the kind of thing that ill-educated voters like to hear, but would cause far more trouble than it could ever be worth.

  22. If the U.S. pulled out of the U.N., it would go broke and fold up. The U.S. pays the dues of the lessor countries, even when those countries are anti-U.S. I'm for getting the U.S. out of the U.N.

  23. When have we ever pulled out of anything...

Just stay in that position... :)

  24. I support it completely

  25. The UN supplies the lies that keep our government viable, so don't hold your breath.

    .

  26. It's a great idea. We're destroying our sovereignty.

  27. Stupid move. We are one world, time to act like it.

  28. Pulling out of the UN would be consistent with the majority of the US's recent actions.  Its invasions of Amsterdam and Brindisi, Italy, killing more and more European citizens every day with bow-and-arrow-wielding youngsters, in Brindisi stationed on a "US Navy" ship, seem like something in a wierd science fiction novel about the bizarro feral society of a previous age in history.

Bush will have to ask "Da-dee" if he recommends the withdrawal and have his puppet Bolten perform a speech promoting this.

  29. The way I understand it, the U. N. was set up after WWII to promote peace, dialog, and understanding between nations in the hope that future wars could be prevented.

After 60 odd years the original mission {experiment} is a very dismal failure.

What in my opinion is the way to stop wars is to economically boycott aggressive nations, and freeze their international bank accounts,,,,,,including the USA!

Would the bankers/industrialists ever take this step?

NO, because they get rich during wars, at the expense of those poor souls caught in the cross-fires.

The U. S. ignores the U. N. anyway, a pull out would not really change any U. S. policy.

    **************************************...

  30. I think it would be great.  The UN always craps all over the US anyways.  We should form our own, new organization with just us, the UK, and Japan, or somebody really cool like that.  The UN is obsolete.
