What would you use when building a custom bike?

Belt drive or chain drive. what are the pro's and con's?

Primary belt ---Chain Drive I just dont like a belt on the drive

Either one is a good choice belts can be less of a hassle, but it seems that there are not that many differences to call either one better or worse then the other.

Belt drive is fine for the primary.For final drive it all depends on how much horsepower your making and how you treat it.Over about 90 HP and doing hard launches i would run a good chain like a Tsubaki.

Belt for the primary in my case for looks i dont mind the noise and have never broken a chain

But gotta have a chain on the rear  I just dont trust a belt and i have broken a few never broke a chain and if i did for some reason i would rather find a master link on the side of I40 than have to put on a belt

I prefer chain. Especially for the final.
