If you took an IQ test (the mensa test), and you got all the answers correct, what would your IQ be?

  1. They would only give you a grading that says your score's greater than 147. Because most IQ tests aren't designed to measure IQ accurately past 150 (and that includes the Mensa Raven), getting full marks certainly doesn't mean you're a hypergenius of IQ 200 or something. But it does probably indicate an extremely high IQ of around 160-170.

    Assuming a mean population IQ of 100, and a standard deviation of 15, an IQ of greater than 147 would place you in the top 0.0687 percent of the population. This means that in a fairly big city of say 3 million, there'd only be 2062 people of this level. In a school of say 2500, there'd only be 2. It's something extremely rare, but it isn't something to be proud of if you're underperforming relative to your IQ score.

    How do I know about how Mensa scores the IQ test? That's because I've taken it - and the greater than 147 rating is what I received. I was pretty sure I made only one mistake in the entire test - but that's as good as it got. But what you're referring to might not be the Raven's Progressive Matrices, so in your scenario, things *might* be different.
