  1. Obviously your instructor believes you are capable, and ready, so you should have no problem.

I agree with Thomas H about the mirror - turn your whole head to look, not just your eyes.

The only other thing I would mention is indication. If you are changing lanes for ANY reason, then use your indicators. Even if you cannot see any other vehicle or pedestrian, indicate !

And yes, relax and enjoy ! Good luck !

    Sorry, I meant Philip H.

  2. 1.Stay calm

    2. Remember your MSPSL when approaching hazards

    3. Enjoy the drive!

    4. Good luck

  3. I would agree with archery dave about turning your head so that the examiner can see you're checking your mirrors - it's YOUR responsibility to show him how good you are!

However, i would disagree with the bit about signalling. Only signal if you need to! If you are asked to pull up and park, check ahead and check your mirrors - if there is noone around - don't signal! Who would benefit from it? noone, so the examiner see's that as good observation.

If you are changing lanes to overtake a slower moving vehicle, signal in plenty of time to let them and other road users know of your intentions, but you don't have to signal back to the left - after all - where else would you be going after overtaking? you wouldn't stay in the overtaking lane and would always return to the left (normal) lane, so therefore, noone is going to benefit from your signal!

The only time I WOULD signal back to the left lane, is if I didn't manage to overtake the vehicle(s) i wanted to, and needed to change back without doing what I intended to do - for example, examiner says "next road on the left" as you start to overtake 4 lorries!! make sense?!

I like everyone elses comments - bardic always talks sense! just relax and show off your excellent driving skills - and enjoy it. think "OK mister examiner - I'm now gonna show you that I can drive as well as you can - if not better!!" but don't actually say that out loud will you!!

    good luck!

  4. My number one tip is..............stay calm and enjoy it.

My pupils who sit their test will have it drilled into them that examiners are not GOD.  They go to the toilet like anybody else. They are human, so start talking to them as soon as they ask you to sign the declaration.

I had one girl.  I taught her in her home town 32 miles away from mine. She was scared to sit a test. She had already sat one a few years before and because it was a single man test centre she was bound to get him again. She hated this guy. I knew the examiner, and found him to be ok, but he would come across as a GOD and loved to destroy you.

On her test day, she clammed up, and was really nervous.  Even though I did everything possible, she failed. So on her next test I spoke up for her.  The examiner came out his office and called her name ( we were the only two there, and there was no waiting room you waited OUTSIDE in the rain). As soon as she started signing her name, I said to the examiner that she was scared to fail again.  He looked at her and gave me a knowing wink, " Claire", he said, "I get £10 for every pass"...................................... & £50 for every fail".  Well the smile on Claire's face was priceless and she started to joke with him, and I could here her laughing and talking away to him as they went off to the car park.  When she came back I could see a big happy pupil smiling away. SHE passed. Afterwards as I drove her home, she said she enjoyed that.

NOW that is what I wanted, enjoy it.

    Good luck

  5. Just remember you must be ready or your instructor wouldn't have suggested it. Drive like you do with him/her and you'll be fine. And view it as your chance to show the examiner how well you drive (which it is) , rather than an exam.

    Good luck.

  6. Make sure you make a really big gesture of checking your mirrors, so the examiner see's you doing it

  7. Pray for a storm happening when you take it...then they'll go easier on you (jk) RELAX RELAX and RELAX some more. Go get a massage before you take it. You are less likely to make mistakes if your body is relaxed.

  8. stay calm and try not to panic.

  9. relax keep your eyes open watch for lights parallel parking 3 point turns

  10. Just relax.

Don't be hungry, don't worry about other problems.

Eating good before the test will help with anxiety, and help you stay calm.

    Go with your gut answer.

You've studied, you know this stuff or you wouldn't be taking it.

If you get nervous, just remember your fully prepared and sure you can do it.

Parallel parking,2,3,4pt turns remembering turn signals and all that is easy, people just try to make them seem hard.

Just stay calm, pay attention and listen to everything your told. Act slowly so you have time to think.

Try to act,and not react on the test,it will help keep you from overreacting.

After you pass it,it will be no big deal,so don't stress over it now.

    You got this.

  11. Relax!

  12. Have your parallel parking down

that is what everyone around here fails on

  13. Delay the test until you are 25 years old.
