What would your reaction be if someone screams black power.

i heard this guy scream out black power in my block this morning while everyone was sleeping so i looked through the window and i realized it was in a car while he was driving.what would your reaction be if you heard that.i was about to run outside and beat the c**p out of him!!!!

I would let it go.  If we stop reacting to other people's racist remarks (black or white), eventually racism can be minimized.

I have a feeling that you were angrier because he woke you up than you were because of what he said.  I would hope so.  I also have a feeling that neither of you is fully aware of the true meaning of that statement.  When people started saying it, it was a representation of Black pride to a then group of people who had recently only been allowed to sit in the front of buses.  Both of you seem to bit a bit out of touch with your country's history.  So before you go beating the c**p out of people, maybe you should think twice.  And as for him, he sounds like he's a possibly stuck in a time warp.
