  1. i would be fuming , they do break the law , they do leave a mess and they dont pay taxes, and your house will decrease in value . no amount of government propoganda is going to change them facts.

  2. As a conservative capitalist, I'd try and find a way to profit from it.  If I was a liberal socialist, I'd simply complain about it.

  3. As long as the site had proper facilities such as good water supply and regular rubbish collection and that there were schools in the area who could take the kids then there would be no problem.

Why? Because travellers get a raw deal from many people who are all too ready to point the finger and say that they are scroungers and criminals whilst completely overlooking those that do not want to work, are living on state benefits, have their housing supplied and paid for by the council, and engage in criminal behaviour.

If travellers want a place to settle so that their kids can get educated and that they can find more regular employment then this is a good thing and if that means that I would have to have a site near to be then fine - it has to be somewhere.

  4. travelers, are those the ripoff artist gypsy folks or just drivers on holiday?

  5. I would start screaming (probably until I was sick), I would write letters like you have never seen to my M.P, local councillor, Lady High Sheriff and then probably just complain to my neighbours constantly about it right up until the pikeys moved in.  Isn't that what all British people do?

  6. I whould get a clipbord out and start to take action

No one wants a travellers site , in there area

    As for the reasons

    The crime rate will increase

The house prices will fall ( if you can sell your house at all )

Rubbish all around the area , rats / mice etc

    And thats just for starters

  7. I would check it I owned the land.  If I didn't, I would accept it as something outside of my control, and move on.

  8. i wouldnt be bothered, they live half a mile up the road from me anyway they keep themselves to themselves and i'm not the sort of person to p**s off a whole campsite of fellow irish people who happened to be travellers.  i've witnessed two of them tear a whole bar apart looking for one fella.  glad i wasnt the one they were looking for.

  9. oi would be bloody furious and why don't the government stop the activities of these people they break every rule in the book and get away with it and as far as i can see they don't put a penny piece towards the countries expenses

  10. If it's 100 yards from the outer boundary of my property, and it doesn't rise to the level of nuisance --- what happens outside my property is outside my control.

If it's 100 yards from my home, and my home is sitting on enough acreage that would be on my property -- and that's a Taking that I'd challenge on 5th Amendment grounds.

  11. I would question it and protest........

  12. I would ask the travelers if they were going to have Pub on the site. If yes, I would say they are welcome. The council would never dare enforce the smoking ban there.

Funny that. The more anti-social you are the more freedoms you have. Great country!!

  13. Arrange for the decorators to  come round - and spill some turps and accidentally drop a match on the way out - and oh my god the place burns down...  that's the only way I would be able to get shot of my House - as I couldn't sell it if the " Travelling " folk moved next door... Lets be blatantly honest here - there is a section of the Travelling community that - lets just say - don't obey the Law's of the land...( is this PC enough ?! )  ..  then there is their horses, dogs  and other strange things wondering around the place...and things start to go missing...the Council & the Police would be powerless to move them on...Human Rights and all that...your wasting your breath complaining.

  14. No prob.

The locals have got plenty of spare petrol.
