  1. Thats not what you were asking Tuesday night. What happened?

Instead of criticizing your own team, the way Philadelphia always does, why, for once, can't you give the other team credit for some good pitching?

...and, by the way, you spelled Mets' wrong, another great product of the Philadlephia school system.

  2. Everything's wrong with the Phillies offense.  Rollins and Howard aren't hitting, Carlos Ruiz is good for about nothing, and since when has Pat Burrell been a good hitter?

  3. something just isn't clicking...but you have to keep in mind that Oliver Perez is very, very dominant against the Phils and has now only given up 1 run in almost 30 innings.

  4. hitting with runners in scoring position...or as they like to call it now: "situational hitting." Chase Utley has to start hitting with runners in scoring position. we don't win if Chase doesn't hit.

  5. Howard is not hitting for average yet his home run total and RBI count are still healthy.  Rollins is down from last season but still having a solid year.  Everyone else is pretty much on par.  The pitching is still a big question mark.  Even last season they were not setting the world on fire.  If not for the Mets crashing and burning, the Phillies would not have made the playoffs.  Of course we already know that!

It's not so much the offense, it's the pitching.  Myers looked awful last night.  He single handedly gave the game away with his total lack of control.

  6. the muts im sorry do you mean the New York Mets the team that has proven that they not only equal to the phillies but even better

  7. No Rollins, Howard forgot how to hit, and Burrell has come back down to earth.

  8. Ryan Howard strikes out too much.I don't understand why he bats 4th if he leads the whole Majors in strikeouts as a batter.

He needs to show some plate discipline and patience, because he swings at almost everything that's thrown to him.

I think Jose Reyes has stepped up and has shown he has the leadership qualities this team needed when they were with Willie Randolph.Just look:the Mets are 39-11 when Jose Reyes hits a homerun.

  9. well the MUTS are in 1st place thats all that matters SILLIE :)

  10. Every offense goes into slumps. Are you forgetting it's a long season?

  11. Well the mets just wanted revenge every team has an off and on night. I mean it's baseball 162 games almost everyday. You can't score 8 runs every game.
