  1. i think its on the 40 yard

because they also count the touchdown yard as 10 yards

so all together from the 40 yard its 50

  2. It depends how far the snap is. It varies from team to team.

  3. For field goals, you need to consider what yard line the team is at, the depth of the endzone (10 yards), and the amount of space between the line of scrimmage and where the ball is held for the field goal.

For regular field goals, the ball is held 7 yards behind the line of scrimmage.  This is why the extra point kicks end up being 20 yard kicks (ball spotted at 3 yard line + 7 yards behind line of scrimmage + 10 yard deep endzone = 20 yards).

For longer field goals, the ball is sometimes held 8 yards behind the line of scrimmage.  The longer the field goal, the lower the trajectory of the ball, and the football needs to get over the line of scrimmage.  A 50 yard field goal is definitely considered a longer field goal.  This would mean the ball is placed at either the 33 yard line or 32 yard line, which is pretty much the edge of field goal territory, although a better-than-average college kicker would be able to make a 50 yard field goal.

  4. typically it's a 7-yard snap, and you add another 10 yards for the end zone. so to kick a 50-yarder, the ball would be spotted and snapped from the 33.

so from the 5-yard line, it would be a 22-yard FG
