Augusta, the home of the US Masters, opened for play in 1933, and has hosted the Masters since 1934. According to Golf Digest magazine it is the No. 1 course in the US, and each hole on the course is named after the tree or shrub which decorates it. Other notable features include the so-called Amen Corner, comprised of the second shot onwards of the 11th, the entirety of the 12th, and the tee shot of the 13th, where some of the most exciting golf is played at Augusta.
