What year did Ireland get color television?

in Ireland our first television was in black and white that was in 1962 ,but I can't reamber what year did color

television come into Ireland,can anyone tell me. thank you

Colour television??? is there such a thing.?. and there's me watching my 1 channel on a 14 inch black and white portable, which is connected to what can only be described as an esb substation aerial on my roof hahahahahahah

the year was 1969, and RTE had it's first colour broadcast.. Englands was 1967

In 1969. The first programme made in colour by RTÉ was the documentary special "John Hume's Derry", under the 7 Days banner.
