If you are referring to the Toronto incident, it was April 15, 1976, and it wasn't heckling, Don Saleski had ice thrown at him from the stands and swung his stick into the stands hitting a police officer, and the melee grew to involve several other players (Bridgeman, Saleski, and Joe Watson spent several hours in holding).

    1 week later (April 22nd) Bridgeman and Hound Kelly ended up in the stands at MLG as well.

    Clarence Campbell levied 100,000 worth of fines on the two teams.

  3. I seem to recall that they also did that against the Canucks or maybe I'm thinking about the fact that the players involved with the aforementioned Toronto incident had to appear in court in Vancouver.

    Memory also suggests that there might have been a similar incident involving the Kings.
