  3. As far as I know the first measurements were used in the 4th (beginning of the broze age) and 3rd (early to middle bronze age) millenia BC, amongst the Mesapotanians and the Egyptians. I'm sure though that other civilisations would also have used measurement. maybe you should research it on wikipedia.org.
