What year did they start making Cass iron stoves?

The stove is white with a two light fixers on each side, time clock used for timing foods, panel that folds to cover the top of the stove. The handles are cass iron and it has a side door for storage. There is a grill on the left side of the stove with a broiler attached underneath the grill. The stove weighs a couple of tons.

  1. I think you mean cast iron, and I don't think that's what you have. Cast iron is used for woodburning stoves and yours sounds like it's electric, if it has light fixtures on it. Electric ranges were invented in 1892 but didn't start being used in home kitchens till the 1930s and 40s. My mother's Home Ec textbook from the 40s gives instructions on how to fire a kitchen range with wood or coal, so those must still have been fairly common then.
