  1. every year since 1992.   And the Pirates got maybe even more years coming that we continue to be under .500.

  2. every year in the NL.     so weak

  3. Maybe this year the nl west the d-backs are practically 500. and lead the division

  4. Well, I wouldnt be surprised if it was this season. Pitching and offense seems scarce this season and many, many teams are struggling with both, more so than usual.

Presently there are 16 teams under 500, 9 of those in the Weak NL. (  Reminds me of The West and East in basketball.......West is dominant, mighty, and the East is, well Weak. AL has better pitching and offense, always has. With 16 teams at 500 or below, that is just ridiculous for professional players/teams. Grant it each season there are teams who struggle but more then half the league? Not exceptable.

Wish I could get paid millions to not perform.

  5. There are currently 16 teams at .500 or lower.

The most was in 1994 and 1999 when there were 18 teams.  2002 was the only year there were 17 teams.

The highest percentage of teams was 1941, 1942, 1944, and 1954 when 10 of the 16 teams were at .500 or below.
