  1. I recently strutted a 76 sporty, just go to ashop and tell what you wanna do they will know what ya need. by the way once you get rid of the shocks and lock up that swingarm with struts it will be lowerd and look real cool but its gonna ride harder than a ridgid frame. you would be better off getting a bolt on ridgid rear section or spending the money and just putting your ebgine into a complete ridgid frame. reason being a ridgid frame does flex a little. but hey struts are only about 50 bucks.

  2. I would say 1979 will work.

  3. do you mean fender struts? or like others assumed ,want to change the shocks to solid struts? The rear fender struts are 1979 only parts, although a few of those frames were titled as 1980's , the 1979 sportster is a 1 year only model, and kind of hard to find after market or even oem parts for.Sportster.org might be a good place to start. just remember the 1979 is a morphodite bike, and frame components are different then others. some parts off of xlcr's can be used But they are even more scarce, so they cost even more!
