Crack was originally invented in 1977 as a result of an accident involving an 8 ball of cocaine that sat in a duffle bag in a hot car outside a kmart in Miami, FL  The owner of the car had locked his keys inside the vehicle and by the time he was able to open the vehicle, the 8 ball was full of moisture. The individual quickly rushed home and attempted to dry it, only to have it form into a hard crystalised substance unsuitable for snorting. Later in the evening, outside a disco, someone suggested smoking it. When they were finished they went back inside and did the boogie like they never done before and ended up winning the dance contest that evening. From that point on they felt like they were John Travolta every time they used it.
