  1. 1812-1815

  2. January 8, 1815

  3. If you are asking about American history, it was the War of 1812.  There were many battles, including the one where the British burned the White House, and the Battle of New Orleans, where Andrew Jackson defeated a British attack.

  4. The war of 1812 was fought from 1812 to 1815.  An armistice followed, but no peace treaty till about twenty years later.

The last battle (Battle of New Orleans) was fought after the armistice had been signed, but both sides in that battle didn't know the war was over.

  5. Well January 8,1815 was the battle of New Orleans. I have known that since the sixth grade being from Tennessee. There was no "battle" of 1812. There was a "War of 1812".......From 1812 until the signing of the treaty of Ghent in 1814. News was slow back then and New Orleans was actually fought after signing the treaty.....
