  1. it was 1950

  2. The first ever race to F1 (then called "Formula 'A' ") rules was held on April 22nd 1946; it was called the "Grand Prix de Nice" and was won by Luigi Villoresi in a Maserati - it counted for the semi-organised "European Grand Prix Motor Racing Championship", which was the forerunner of the official World Championship, the rules for which were agreed in 1947, although it didn't actually start until 1950. Julian has already given you the information for the first WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Formula One GP.

  3. The first official F1 GP was held at Silverstone, England on 13Th May 1950, won by Guisteppe Farina, that years champion, in an Alfa Romeo 158. Only 6 races plus the Indy 500 that year.

There were Grand Prixs before the second world war but not recognised as the F1 championship as the world now knows it.
