  1. The guy is hugh. I saw him hit a 500 foot homerun out of Wrigley Field against the Cubs. He's a good player both on defense and offense.

  2. He's a good power hitter, but can't hit for avg.

  3. A big hit and a big miss guy. High strike outs and low average but tons of power.

  4. Awful defender. Either hits a home run or strikes out, there's nothing else to his game.  He'd be better off going to the AL to become a DH.

  5. jungle power.  but strikes out a lot.  still a good bat to have in your lineup or on your bench.

  6. I WANT HIM ON THE DBACKS!!!

  7. he has hit 40 HR's 5 seasons in a row, and is well into his sixth forty HR season in a row. yes his average is awful, but if u want consistent power dunn is just what u need. he is quite underrated because of his average, but he gets a lot of walks and has a high on base percentage. because of his power i have him on some of my fantasy teams starting lineup. if u need that guaranteed 40 HR man every season dunn is your man. some people say that only reason he hits 40 HR's a season is because of great american ball park (a hitters stadium), but dunn still has a lot of raw power. also, consider how many at bats dunn gets in a season (around 500-530) which isnt too many at bats. if he had 600-625 at bats a season i wouldnt be suprised to see him have a 50 HR season. dunn will easily pass the 500 HR mark and maybe even further.

  8. the left-handed version of mark mcguire. hits for a ton of power, walks alot, strikes out alot, plays mediocre defense (and that's being nice). hes a great guy to have in a lineup regardless of what some people say.

  9. he is not a person that will get a 300 or even a 275 average but he always has plenty of hrs 32 this year leading the majors and always has alot of walks because he is a feared hitter in the majors.

  10. It is a good player

  11. He can only hit the long ball.

    He has a good OBP

    he'd make a good dh

  12. less than average fielder, runner, hitter. He does his job, which is to hit homeruns and drive runs in. I'd find a spot for him on my team any freaking day!

  13. Adam Dunn is a great, underrated player. He may not hit for a high average, but he gets on base quite often, due to his high walk count, and hits for power.

In today's game, scoring runs is about getting on base, and advancing runners. The most important part is not getting out, and his high OBP helps that.

A high batting average isn't needed if you walk often enough, as long as the hits you do get usually go for extra bases. He does that quite well, making him a solid hitter.

  14. He's like an old-school player. He's a throwback from when most power hitters had a mediocre average at best.
