  1. measure using a ruler all the corners of the box and use the LxW formular to calculate.


  2. If you have a dimensions of the box (length x width x height), multiply two of the appropriate measurements together to find the area of the face.

    If you know the volume, and the box is a CUBE, find the square root of the volume.  This will be the area of one of the faces.  

    If the box is NOT a cube, you'll need the volume and the measure of at least one of the edges.  Divide the volume by the edge, and you'll get the area of the face perpendicular to the edge you know.

    You haven't given us much information about what you know....so its hard to say exactly what you need to do.

  3. Multiply the width of the surface, times the height of the surface.

    Or as it is commonly referred to length times width. L  x W.
