Guns firing at night, walking around a crime scene in the morning going to the beach avoiding the favella areas, pick pockets or the street shoe shiners or being kidnapped in a taxi. Otherwise it's a really cool country to visit.

a place with lots of fun and deforestation. dont worry, its the media. if brazil would be discussed on every channel and radio station like usa is, then we would know more about it.

Brazil ought to be the super power of South America, but it seems to me that their political inadequacy is preventing them from taking such a role.  Too busy with partying and celebrities, I suppose.

Their cane Ethanol program seems to be worthy of copying in other parts of the world (since it drives so many of their automobiles).  But, I've recently heard that the program wasn't as "clean" as was originally reported.
