Sometimes you dont have to do anything wrong, you just get outplayed, which is what happened today. SL had a match winner in Mendes , changeing thr game after India had done the hard work by dismissing SL for a score they would have settled for before the first ball was bowled.

i think it may have been their urge to bat fast and keep very high strike rates, because too many times in this tournament 300+ scores were posted.

However, there is a risk of losing quick wickets in doing that. So far, India managed to avert that risk throughout playing with Pakistan and Sri Lanka. But no team can always avert risk each time. Sooner or later this strategy fails.
