  1. AH.....the "Beatles". Super, Super, Super!!!  They came to America in the mid-1960's. Sadly the band split up in 1970. All four members went  their own solo way. The Beatles sold more albums in the United States than any other band!

  2. They landed at Kennedy airport on February 7,1964 and they first played on the Ed Sullivan Show on Feb. 9, 1964.  They broke up in 1970.

  3. THE BEATLES came over to America February 7th 1964, and preformed on Ed Sullivan February 9th, 16th, and 23rd. They left February 22nd, so the 23rd show was taped before the first show was taped.

They broke up mid 1969, as John made a solo album with Yoko, called the Plastic Ono Band although they were still together on paper while he recorded that album, they were not doing sessions or recording with each other at the time.

It wasn't just Yoko's fault though. Paul wanted to continue doing pop records, and John wanted to make art. George and Ringo were tired of feeling left out and were ready to move on.

    :)

  4. They came to America in 1964, and they were in the process of breaking up from late '69 to mid '70.
