Is he still in the game, who does he promote?

Don King is alive, well and still in the game.  He promotes heaveyweight Samuel Peter, Juan Diaz (but not for long), Roy Jones Jr., Felix Trinidad, Shannon Briggs, and Cory Spinks.

He is still a top promoter, although I think he has gone down some in recent years with Bob Arum's Top Rank and Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotion taking over some of the spotlight.  Some of the top fighters that he currently promotes or co-promotes are: Sam Peter, Nicolay Valuev, Steve Cunningham, Cory Spinks, Ricardo Mayorga, and Devon Alexander.

He's alive, still promoting, and still making lots of money...that much I know, I saw something about him not too long ago.

Last word I got was he walked out into direct sunlight and burst into flames, ran shrieking back into the vault of the MGM Grand and dove into a fountain to put out the flames.  When the sun went down, they followed a trail of drained victims complete with duel puncture wounds on their necks down the Vegas strip right to Don's lair.  They broke the door down to try and capture him, and he turned into a bat and flew out the window.  He hasn't been seen since.

He's not dead, he is undead.
