Whatever happened to rape and pillage when it comes to war?

The United States is going bankrupt rebuilding Iraq and yes, I know we blew the damned place up. Who cares? We went to war. During war each side kills the enemy and blows up his stuff. It happens! I think we should go home and let those folks rebuild their own country with their billions of dollars of oil money. Then, just maybe we could get some of our infrastructure rebuilt.

You don't want your city destroyed from bombs and ****.. then don't start anything with anybody. I live in Canada, but I still agree. Canada's men are being killed too. Half the stuff that is destroyed isn't even from the U.S or Canada, its from their road side bombers and people that blow themselves up. Pay for it yourself I say. And it's true they are getting a ton of money from Oil prices.

you  think?  but to answer your question, a lot of taxpaying citizens care because we think there are better solutions than war and financing the military machine.  it's not easy being a hero to the whole world
