  1. its Araucaria Araucana if you mean monkey puzzle tree

  2. Botanical name for a monkey???????

    WTF???????

  3. A monkey is an animal and doesn't have a botanical name (as botanical means relating to plants). Each individual species of monkey has a latin name. If you want an example the latin name for the cappucin monkey is Cebus capucinus. According to wikipedia there are 264 known species of monkey in the world, each with a different latin name. The thing that really drew me to your question is that it is placed in the agriculture section. Are you planning to farm monkeys and to what end?

P.S. As a botanist I feel it's my duty to present other plants you might possibly have meant; there are 20 species of monkeyflower each under the genus Mimulus, the monkeypuzzle tree is Araucaria araucana and the money plant, also known as the Jade plant, is Crassula ovata. The monkey orchid is Orchis simea.

  4. Is this a serious question or a joke? I presume a joke. If not, monkeys are zoological organisms and not botanical organisms. Also, there are dozens of species of monkeys so you would need to be more specific as to which you want identified. If you are serious please clarify.

  5. The correct name for the species is Anthropoid Primates. But  then you have types.Old World monkeys consist of the family-Cercopithecidae(Circopitheecdie), and consist of: Baboons, Langurs, Macaques, and Guenons.

New World monkeys include two families: Cebidae(Cebidie) which include the larger species: Saki, Capuchin, Squirrel, Howler, and Spider monkeys. Callithricidae(callithrecdie) which includes the small marmosets and tamarins.

  6. Its botanical. Not botenical.

  7. fauna don't have botanical names
