Greetings!  Your question is very vague, but I'm going to assume that when you say "English money", you are referring to UK currency and "dollars" to be American.  A single British pound is close to two American dollars.

Therefore, $18 American dollars has the value of nearly 9 pounds (I can't do the fancy pound truncation at my computer, sorry).

If this is not what you meant, I would very strongly reword your question and specify exactly which "English" and "dollar" currency you are referring to.

umm a little more info would help mate.
