  2. I can't believe someone recommended Old Navy, where everything is size 8.

That being said, here are my favorite plus-size shopping sites and some price ranges.

    http://www.roamans.com  Sizes 14-44, $15 and up.

http://www.torrid.com  $12.00 (bandanas) to $170.00 (some gorgeous formal gowns and wedding gowns). They even have some nice corsets in our size.

    http://www.fashionbug.com  $15.00 and  up

http://www.catherines.com  usually in the $15.00-$100.00 range, with some of the dressier stuff higher up, and some one clearance right now for as low as $1.99! They're fairly dressy, for the most part, but they've also got jeans. Most of it is casual/professional clothing.

I'm not sure about you, but I'm a size 32 and I've purchased from Roaman's, Fashion Bug, and Catherine's successfully, and my sister, a size 24, really loves Torrid.

  3. Maurices is a great store to shop at. they just started caring plus sizes a little over a year ago. They have REALLY cute clothes and they are priced reasonably. Not like a D.A.V. but DEF> not like Van Mar or anything like that. Once again GREAT clothes! WAY CUTE!

  4. To the poster above: Old Navy carries their plus size clothing line in sizes 16-30W on-line only, not in the stores.  So, they definitely have larger than a size 8 if you shop on-line.

You failed to indicate your age, style and what you considered a "good price".  For the young and trendy set, there's everything from Fashion Bug to Alloy.  For more classic casual inclined there's everything from Eddie Bauer to Target.  For more contemporary you might like Monroe & Main or Coldwater Creek......

There are of course the plus-specialty retailers like Lane Bryant, Silhouettes and Jessica London.  Or the department stores like Pennies and Kohls.

The possibilities are really wonderful once you are willing to shop on-line, rather than sticking only to what is on the corner in the middle of your hometown.  :-)

  5. If you want GOOD quality clothes, I say lane bryant (www.lanebryant.com), they also have a few stores, not sure if they are located in your area. As always though, you get what you pay for, sometimes spending a little more money can make all the difference in longevity and fit.

  6. oldnavy.com sizes 16-30!!!!!!!!!
