I have a 99 Pontiac Grand Am, 4 door. If that matters, Lol.

Whats a reasonable price? Just for him to change spark plugs and whatever goes along with the spark plugs, He's providing them.

talked to husband a car nut and a very good repair man (if i do say so myself, he is cute too! LOL) anyways he said $100 total. i know i took my van to the shop and had plugs,wires and oil change and it came to 250$ after all was said and done. so he would be saving you about 150$!

Let me give you a bit advise on parts choice. Use nothing but AC-Delco ignition wires and AC-Delco iridium spark plugs. The average auto-parts store ignition wires just aren't up to the mission. There are only two other brands that are equal, MSD & Morroso. It's a two hour job with a union coffie break. He should change the fuel and air filter if neither has been done in the past two yrs. With the above mentioned *top shelf parts (that's all your motor needs). I have no idea what brand to type parts the other guys have given you here but let be advise you of parts costs. The AC-Delco ignition wires cost $55.00. Iridium AC Delco #41-940 spark plugs are $17.10 each. Your car motor does not have a distributor, cap or rotor. It has three ignition coils that fire all six cylinders. The fuel and air filter will set you back another $40.00.

It'll take the better part of three hours to do the work. If this is a side job $100.00 just for labor would be fair. Remember what dealership labor charges are - $75.00 -$85.00 per hour.

40bucks... u figure the parts cost 1.50-2 per plug and 15-20 for cap & rotor then if u need new wires 20... I'd say 40-50bucks.
