  1. Sound, brill. Don't forget your handgun.

  2. My Mom still lives in the Ladywood area, (I was born there, but have moved to Cornwall)  Ladywood isn't one of my favourite area's of Birmingham, I must admit, it's very Asian orientated, and that's O.K. if you are Asian, but your "average" White person is somewhat a minority in this area (no racism aimed) and there isn't a lot there for White people to do, as the area is "geared up" for Asian people.

My Mom has lived there all her life, and wouldn't dream of moving anywhere else, but even she admits that she doesn't fit in there anymore. I would suggest Edgebaston, which is not far away, but a more pleasant area, with more tree's and greenery, or maybe Bournville, or Selly Oak, which are both within easy access of the City Centre. Birmingham's not a bad City, and the people are fun, and easy going.

  3. Birmingham would be fine for a few moths, it is much the same as any other large city in the UK. Ladywood is near the centre, there are loads of shops and bars, clubs along the Broad Street area and by 5 ways.

Some parts of Ladywood are very upmarket and much improved, others are still run down and have high turnover of tenants, so it depends where you live. Moseley and Selly Oak or Edgbaston are better areas, but the rents are alos higher.

  4. Brilliant I lived around there for a while, if you are talking the UK Birmingham. The city rocks, so get out an enjoy yourself and just treat your home as a place to rest

  5. Well i have lived here all my lifeand im 20 years of age, i dont know much about ladywood area only kings-norton, northfield, local areas, and bull ring, its great for shopping, and clubbing, and great curry i love the currys lol, also great restaurants. And lots of activities if you get bored. :D Hope that helps

  6. I spent a fortnight there, one weekend!

  7. Horrible, full of foreigners, worse than London.

  8. I live and work in Ladywood. It's very close to Birmingham's main nightlife (Broad St) in the centre of the city and the National Indoor Arena and Broadway Plaza, so it's not the most quietest area's in Brum.

Ladywood is full of flats and apartments, either tower blocks or newly built high class apartments for the city workers. Parts are rough, so watch yourself at night.

If you like being close to all amenities and are not too bothered about the peaceful life, Ladywood is OK. If it sounds too much maybe the more quieter affluent suburbs like Edgbaston or Harborne would suit.

  9. I am from Brum, well ok last time I lived there was 1983/4 but Lady Wood back then wasn't really an ideal place but hey things change & after all you are only going to be there a few months surely it couldn't be to bad if you know you are actually going to get out of the place.

  10. wouldn't recommend ladywood, but birmingham is alright to live in

  11. disgusting, full of drugies begging you for money all the time. its not safe even in the outskirts of birmingham. be careful going out at night.
