  1. Hi

Until the last few months there have been plenty of job opportunities. It would depend on what sort of job you are thinking of. Like Australia we are very short of many employees - nurses, teachers, doctors etc. Have a look at  http://www.trademe.co.nz  or http://www.seek.co.nz  for ideas on jobs. Trade me also will give you a good idea of housing both for buying and for renting.

Generally New Zealander's are paid up to 33% less for the same job than Australians.

Our housing is pretty expensive comparative to salaries. Especially in Auckland.

I think we are generally friendly and accepting people. Many tourist and visitors comment that we are.

You may like to look at my website http://www.holidays-in-newzealand.com which gives you a lot of information about what you can do and see here.

I would suggest you came and visit to see if you like it.You also would find it better to find a job - even if it is only temporary before moving everything here permenantly.

The New Zealand immigration website will help you with what you will require to live here. http://www.immigration.govt.nz

Good Luck - I hope this helps.
