Whats Should I Say When I Follow Up?

Question

I turned in a lot of applications to stores last week (for the 3rd time :\ )

I was wondering, I have not had any call back so I was going to follow up. My question is what should I say?

Hello, this is Bill Smith. I'm calling to see if the xyz position has been filled yet.

Can you give me any idea when you plan to have the position filled?

Is there any additional information about my credentials that I can provide?

yeah, what brad said above--and be sure not to say it like this "Dude. i'm calling to find out if you've hired anybody. Dude, i need this job." Good luck!
